Charleston Revisited; Trance

No pictures this time, but it was a great time. Really. In fact, we were there pretty late, and as if you couldn’t tell, this is a back-post from a time at which there was no computer access.
It was fun being able to actually swim at the beach, and one salty fellow gave us a heads-up about not letting the authorities find us with glass bottles on the beach (promptly went and got some red Solo cups, and it felt even more like a party). Afterward, and after an early dinner, we all sat around and I basked in the warm glow of a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Monarca Maduro. These things … man, I think it deserves its own post.
On the way back, we listened to [1] Ministry Of Sound’s Summer Annual 2001, Disc 1. This to me is still among the most shining examples of powerful, beautiful, innovative trance without the sickly-sweet (or sickly-sexual) lyrics present in most trance songs.
But it’s strikingly out of date. Anyone else have some good trance selections they’d like to share?
